East Coast Mavericks ESU

East Coast Mavericks ESU is based at Leven Scout Hut. East Coast Mavericks ESU is an exciting and adventurous Explorer Scout Unit dedicated to young people aged 14-18. Our mission is to offer young people the opportunity to develop new skills, grow in confidence, and experience a range of activities that promote independence, teamwork, and leadership. The Mavericks are known for their vibrant, energetic approach to Scouting, welcoming new members with open arms and encouraging them to explore their potential.

What We Do

East Coast Mavericks engage in a variety of activities designed to challenge and inspire Explorers, including:

• Outdoor Adventures: Hiking, camping, rock climbing, and orienteering trips allow Explorers to build practical outdoor skills and enjoy the beauty of the East Coast.
• Skill Development: Explorers have the opportunity to earn badges in areas like survival skills, first aid, navigation, and more.
• Community Service: We emphasise giving back through community service projects, which foster a sense of responsibility and empathy.
• Leadership Opportunities: As Explorers grow, they can take on leadership roles within the unit, helping organize activities and supporting younger members.
