Amazing news our District Youth Leads, Katie and Chris are working on Beverley and Hornsea’s first ever District Youth Forum! Taking the thoughts, opinions and voices of our young people into account to make Scouts across the district truly Youth Shaped!

Cubs and Scouts

For Cubs and Scouts we are planning an in person Youth Form event! This event will take place on Saturday 5th October 2024 at Leven Scout Hut (save the date). Starting at 11am and ending at 2pm with lunch included we are inviting 2 Cubs and 2 Scouts from each group to represent their packs and troops at the Youth Forum. There will be no cost for the event.

There is no need for section volunteers or parents to stay, in fact we activity encourage them not to! We would like the young people to take part in the activities and help shape the Scouting they take part in!

We are only asking for 2 Cubs and 2 Scouts from each Pack/ Troop to come, so we need you in your teams to select those who can represent they fellow young people. We encourage this is done in conjunction with the other young people.

Squirrels and Beavers

For the first time we will be introducing a Youth Forum programme package for Squirrels and Beavers for section teams to deliver over 1 or 2 weeks and feed back to the Youth Lead Team! These packs will be produce by the team and circulated to Section Teams in September 2024 ready for you to deliver in the first weeks back of the new term, so don’t forget to allocate a session or two to the Youth Forums.

Once the packs are ready we will share them out!
