Christmas Message from Jacob Birch, Lead Volunteer Beverley and Hornsea Scouts

2023 has been another fantastic year for Beverley and Hornsea Scouts! We have continued our amazing work with our young people to provide fabulous experiences, make new memories and friends as well as equip our members with vital skills for life. The year has not been without it's challenges, but it is thanks to the hard work and dedication of the amazing team of volunteers, we have been able to continue moving forward.

Moving into 2024 I have some exciting plans to develop Beverley and Hornsea Scouts' offer, through recruiting a larger team and providing more support to planning more events for our young people and adults to take part in. We are also taking part in leading the way in transforming the way we volunteer with the Scouts and I'm looking forward to the exciting opportunities that will bring.

I could not do this without the team of volunteers who are committed to working as part of the District Team to support, facilitate and drive scouting in Beverley and Hornsea. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the District Leadership Team, District Trustee Board and all members of District Sub Teams for their support in 2023.

Finally I want to say thank you to you, the fantastic volunteers who make things happen, who give up your time to plan and deliver amazing experiences for our brilliant young people. Without you delivering scouting opportunities would not be possible, and our young people would not gain skills for life.
