As we come to the end of another successful year of Scouting in Beverley and Hornsea District, I would just like to thank-you for all the hard-work you all put in to run exciting and creative programmes for your sections and groups.
There have been lots of successful camps/ activities which are bringing the best out of the young people overall. I know all this comes with its challenges at times but be assured you all are making a massive difference.
As a District, we have seen young people go down under in Wales/ attending International Camps/ joined County and the rest of the District at section events/ lots of nights away being had and lots of hikes/ walks done. Others have attended pantomimes and fun nights at local activity providers like ‘Rock Up’, ‘Hollywood Bowl’, game shacks.
Aswell as County section events as a District we have had:
- A successful evening at Monkey Bizness and a day at Williams Den with the younger sections.
- 13 teams attending the Cubs Cooking Competition with Brandesburton girls coming out on top.
- Scouts and Explorers enjoying a day paintballing and gel master.
Over the next year, the District Event teams are looking at organising a number of activities for all the sections being catered for plus we have St. Georges Day funday and County ALL section camps.
Upcoming confirmed dates for your diaries on District events:-

As a District we have seen additional Squirrel sections opening with more to come hopefully allowing younger members to join this great movement.
To just finish off I would again like to thank-you for all your hard work that you do week in and out throughout the year and wish you a Happy Christmas and all the best personally and for your scouting sections for 2025.
