Safety and Safeguarding

Risk Assessments

A friendly reminder that all Scouting activities must have a written risk assessment completed for them. Anyone involved in the activity can request to see it and members of the District Leadership Team will regularly ask as well.

The District Leadership Team will ask for risk assessments on occasion, even if they are not at the session to ensure they are being completed and cover all basis.

NAN Forms and Activity Forms

Don't forget to submit your NAN forms at least 7 days, if not before, to the camp to ensure they can be checked, amended if needed, and approved in plenty of time.

Activity forms must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the event, if not before.

Support Plans

Does your group complete Support Plans? Have you ever heard of Support Plans? If not, we're here to help. Support Plans are here to support young people as well as volunteers. Whether that's with special educational needs, disabilities or medical needs. Support might be temporary such as an illness or accident (for example a young person who has a broken leg) or support might be long-term (for example a developmental disability such as Cerebral Palsy). Information and guidance can be found on our HQ website here. Or you can email our Support Team who are more than happy to help at Support@BandHScouts.org.uk.

Summer Prize Draw

This summer we are running a Summer Prize Draw with 3 top cash of up to £250, plus various other prizes. Tickets are £5 each and will be available to purchase from your local Scout Group! Whats more is that for every ticket sold by a group, at least £1.50 will go back to that Scout Group! We are not stopping there; we are also supporting 5 fantastic young people on 2 amazing trips they are taking part in next year. Find out more here.
